Goodbye!

Dearest friends,
Two years and one sweet baby boy later, Tommy and I have decided to close our little shop.  I'm looking forward to spending more time at home and enjoying lots of little adventures with Charlie.

Here are a few things you should know:
-Turn in your loyalty cards for a $10 credit towards any purchase.
-Receive a $10 credit towards any purchase when using a gift certificate.
-Receive a $10 credit when using your current store credit.
-We have an amazing clearance sale with deep discounts on last year's fall styles, including footwear, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and tights,  end-of-season spring and summer styles, jewelry, scarves, and even a few new Fall bags.

If you have questions about your store credit or gift certificates, please call the shop at 781.646.2515 or email me directly at betsy@sadies-shoes.com.

You'll see me and my little family strolling around town. Please say hi and keep us posted on all things new with you.

It's been my sincerest pleasure to work with you, hear your stories, and learn about your lives. Selling shoes was only a small part of what Sadie's has been all about. I am grateful for you and cannot thank you enough for welcoming us and supporting our business.  We will miss you.

Cheers,
Betsy

Beach basics.

It's sandal season.

Sadie's is stocking Oka B.'s Chloe thong in three new shades--Coral, Twilight, and Capri.

A must-have for your beach bag, they're machine washable, made in the good ol' US of A, and, when they've flipped their last flop, recyclable.

If you're looking for more style and less flop, try the African Queen from Topsies.

The stretchy fabric band and cushioned sole will make this oh so comfy sandal your go-to shoe for that beach bash in your future.

Cheers,
Betsy

Charming.

Okay, I admit it, it's been a while.  Little Charlie is consuming my life. But I'm totally okay with it because look how precious he is:

Cinch it.

Ankle straps are HUGE this season, and we at Sadie's are just wild about them. The secure fit can't be underestimated, and of course, they're just plain stylish.

Sadie's is stocking this style in red.

You gals are sometimes hesitant to try an ankle strap, often thinking (and sometimes saying) that they only flatter Gisele-like legs (see model above). Puh-lease... Now, I agree that the ankle strap can sometimes shorten the leg, and, yes, they are a bit more utilitarian, but there are ways to be comfy and still maintain a feminine vibe to your outfit. Here's how:

When wearing a flowy or boxy shirt or dress, cinch the waist. This will give your outfit shape, showing off your feminine curves and elongating the leg. This is super easy and can be done with your favorite belt. We're loving the versatile Ada belt from Helena's. This way you've upped the style factor and still maintained a comfortable look.

Other ways to flatter this always-popular style include long maxi skirts or dresses, as well as dresses with a natural waistline. I like this striped dress and flared skirt from Lane Bryant, and this beautiful frock from Anthropologie.

Wearing shorts or pants? Make sure they have a tailored fit to reduce bulkiness. Here's a look from J.Crew.

Here are just a few of our GORGEOUS ankle straps! Enjoy!

High rise.

The platform is a wonderful style for many a gal. It gives her height without the discomfort of a heel and is more substantial looking than a flat.

We promise you'll love the look and the wear of these fab styles from Miz Mooz.
